How companies select counsel
A company appointing corporate counsel is buying specific experience: this transaction type, this sector, this regulator. General counsel and finance directors shortlist firms that have visibly done comparable work, then compare teams and fee structures. A site presenting corporate law as a service line with a partner photograph provides nothing to shortlist on, so the instruction goes to a firm that published its transaction history and its sector depth.
What we build for a corporate firm
First, practice pages by transaction type — restructuring, joint ventures, acquisitions, regulatory — since that is the language of the instruction. Second, sector experience made explicit, because regulatory context differs completely between industries and clients know it. Third, team credentials with the matters each person led, which is what a shortlist is actually built from. Fourth, a structured enquiry route that captures the matter, the counterparty position and the deadline, so the first call is substantive rather than introductory.
