How fabrication contracts are awarded
A general contractor choosing a steel fabricator checks monthly tonnage, welding certifications, whether you can produce shop drawings, whether you erect as well as fabricate, and which comparable structures you have delivered. Much of this work is tendered, with formal qualification requirements. Fabricators who publish a photograph of a workshop are evaluated as an unknown and priced accordingly.
What we build for a fabricator
First, capacity in tonnes per month with equipment and span capability, the first filter every contractor applies. Second, welding certifications and quality process published, since that is a hard requirement on structural work. Third, project evidence with tonnage, structure type and duration. Fourth, design and detailing capability stated, because a fabricator who can produce shop drawings is worth more to a contractor than one who only cuts steel, and tender qualification documents should sit in the same place.
