What slows a newsroom down
Two problems dominate digital publishing. Internally, the CMS is slow and awkward, so getting a story out takes longer than reporting it, and the workflow — drafts, roles, scheduling, corrections — is fought rather than used. Externally, ad scripts and unoptimised images push the first paint past the point where a reader on mobile data gives up, which means the advertising that funds the site is also what drives away the audience it is sold against.
What we build for a news outlet
First, an editorial workflow built for speed: drafts, roles, scheduling, embargoes and corrections that behave the way a newsroom works. Second, a performance budget enforced in the build, with advertising loaded so it never blocks the story. Third, archive structure and topic hubs, which turn years of published material into traffic instead of dead weight. Fourth, subscriptions and memberships, so revenue does not rest entirely on a single advertising platform.
