Why adoptions fall through
Returned animals are the most damaging outcome a shelter faces, and most returns trace back to a mismatch that a proper listing would have prevented: energy level, tolerance of children or other animals, medical needs, space requirements. A photograph and a name generate enquiries but not suitable homes. Shelters also run on donations, fostering and volunteers, all of which typically flow through a phone number and a bank account.
What we build for a shelter
First, animal profiles with temperament, history, medical needs and requirements, filterable by what an adopter can actually offer. Second, adoption applications with screening questions, which reduce returns far more than interviews after the fact. Third, donations that complete on mobile, with recurring giving and specific needs — food, treatment, a named animal. Fourth, fostering and volunteer signup as structured processes, since both currently depend on someone answering messages.
