What BIM buyers need explained
Developers and contractors encounter BIM as a requirement in a tender or a client brief, and have to procure something they cannot specify. They need to know what level of detail means in practice, which deliverables they receive, which software and standards you work to, and what it costs relative to conventional documentation. Providers who describe the benefits of digital modelling without defining a deliverable cannot be compared or bought.
What we build for a BIM provider
First, modelling levels with concrete deliverables at each, which turns an abstract requirement into a purchasable scope. Second, software, standards and interoperability stated, since the model has to work with whatever the rest of the project uses. Third, clash detection and coordination presented with real examples, because that is where the value is demonstrable in money saved. Fourth, project references and pricing basis, so a contractor can budget without a discovery meeting.
