What direct-to-consumer requires
A direct brand exists to own the customer relationship, and most of them sell primarily through marketplaces where they own nothing: no contact details, no purchase history, no ability to reach a buyer again except by paying. Building a direct channel means solving what the platform did for you — traffic, trust, fulfilment and returns — and doing it well enough that customers choose it.
What we build for a D2C brand
First, brand and product storytelling that a marketplace cannot carry, since that is the reason a customer would buy direct at all. Second, subscriptions and replenishment for consumable products, which is the economic advantage of owning the channel. Third, customer data and retention flows — post-purchase, reactivation, referral — which is the whole point. Fourth, fulfilment and returns handled properly, because a direct channel that ships worse than a marketplace loses the customer permanently.
