How aggregates are bought
A contractor buying crushed stone or sand works from a specification and a schedule: fraction, grade, tonnage, and the date it has to be on site. The price depends heavily on haulage distance, which almost nobody publishes, so every order begins with a phone call to establish a number that a calculator could produce instantly. Repeat customers — the same contractors ordering weekly through a season — go through the same process every time.
What we build for a quarry
First, a catalogue by fraction and grade with technical parameters and typical applications. Second, a delivery calculator combining tonnage and distance, which is the actual price and the actual question. Third, ordering with a delivery date and site address, so a contractor can place a standing schedule instead of calling each week. Fourth, trade accounts with volume pricing, which is where the recurring revenue sits and where the admin currently disappears.
