Who buys salt and on what basis
Salt serves markets with nothing in common. Food producers need food-grade certification, purity, iodisation and packaging formats. Industrial buyers — water treatment, road maintenance, chemical processing — need grain size, purity for their process and bulk delivery. A single page describing salt production speaks to neither, so buyers work through distributors and producers stay price-takers on their own product.
What we build for a salt producer
First, separate product lines for food and industrial grades, each with purity, grain size, packaging and certification. Second, a certification library, since food-grade supply is gated by documentation. Third, bulk delivery and packaging options stated, because logistics is a large share of the delivered price. Fourth, enquiry routing by market and volume, so a tonnage order does not queue behind a retail question. Private-label packing deserves its own page as well, since retail chains source salt that way and rarely find producers offering it.
