How livestock is sold
Selling livestock means buyers travelling to inspect, and most of those trips are wasted because nothing was specified in advance: breed, age, weight, condition, veterinary status, price. Demand is also seasonal, concentrated around specific periods when everything sells at once and nothing is organised. Veterinary paperwork, which is what makes a sale transportable and lawful, is handled entirely on paper at the gate.
What we build for a livestock farm
First, animal listings with breed, age, weight, condition and photographs, retired automatically once sold. Second, veterinary documentation recorded per animal, which is what allows transport and resale. Third, reservation with a deposit, since seasonal peaks otherwise produce broken promises and double sales. Fourth, breeding stock presented separately, because that buyer pays for lineage and needs entirely different information from someone buying animals for meat, including records the farm does not currently keep in readable form.
