How tire fitting demand behaves
Tire fitting has the most extreme demand curve in the automotive trade: two frantic weeks each season, queues that stretch for hours, and long quiet stretches in between. During the rush drivers pick whoever has the shortest queue, which they can only find out by driving there. Between the rushes there is no reason to contact anyone. And the product that would fix both — seasonal tire storage — is rarely sold anywhere except at the counter, in person, during the busiest hour of the year.
What we build for a tire service
First, booking with time slots for changeover season, which converts a queue into a schedule and lets you fill the quiet days at a lower price. Second, live queue status, since that is what drivers are trying to guess. Third, tire storage sold as a subscription, with the customer's set recorded and their next changeover pre-booked. Fourth, search by tire size and vehicle for the shop side, so the fitting visit also sells the tires.
