What members actually buy
Somebody choosing a coworking space over a cheaper cafe or a quiet flat is buying access to people: potential clients, collaborators, hires and the sense of working alongside others. Spaces that market square metres, coffee and fast internet compete directly with cafes and lose on price. The community that makes membership worth several times a desk rental is precisely what is never shown to a prospective member.
What we build for a coworking community
First, a member directory showing who works there and what they do, since that is the product and the strongest possible conversion argument. Second, an event calendar with open sessions, which lets a prospective member experience the community before committing. Third, membership tiers with what each includes, including meeting rooms and address services. Fourth, space and room booking in a member account, plus a members-only area, so the community continues between visits rather than existing only in the room.
