What cargo clients need to know
Cargo clients are usually small importers running on thin margins and tight timelines. They need a rate per kilogram and per cubic metre, a realistic transit time, clarity on what customs will want, and constant reassurance about where their consignment is. Every one of those is currently answered by a person in a chat, dozens of times a day, and the answers are inconsistent because they depend on who replied. New clients, meanwhile, cannot tell one cargo service from another at all.
What we build for a cargo service
First, a rate calculator by weight and volume with transit times per route and shipping mode, which is the comparison every client is making. Second, consolidation tracking: warehouse received, loaded, in transit, cleared, ready — visible to the client without asking. Third, a client cabinet holding their shipments, documents and history. Fourth, plain-language customs guidance, because the fear of clearance problems is what stops new importers from starting.
