Why boxes lose beginners
CrossFit intimidates newcomers, who assume everyone is already fit and that they will be humiliated. Boxes that publish a workout of the day full of unfamiliar abbreviations confirm that fear. Class capacity is limited and fills, so booking matters operationally. The community that keeps members for years is the retention mechanism and is visible only from inside, which means it does nothing for acquisition.
What we build for a box
First, a beginner path presented prominently, with what a first session involves and how scaling works, since that fear is the main barrier. Second, class schedules with capacity and booking, because sessions are limited and turning people away loses them. Third, coach profiles and credentials, as coaching quality is what distinguishes boxes. Fourth, membership management with renewals, plus community visible from outside, which is what converts trial visitors into members.
