How orchard fruit is contracted
Wholesalers, retail chains and exporters build supply plans months before a harvest, choosing by variety, calibre, colour and the weeks a grower can deliver. An orchard that publishes none of that is found only after the fruit is picked, which is the moment every other orchard is also selling. Storage changes the arithmetic entirely, and nobody outside the farm knows how much you can hold or until when.
What we build for an orchard
First, variety pages with calibre, colour grade and storage life, which is the specification buyers screen on. Second, a harvest and availability calendar, including what comes out of controlled storage and when. Third, certificates and residue testing published per batch, since export buyers will not proceed without them. Fourth, forward contract enquiries capturing tonnage, grade and delivery basis, so the crop is committed before it is competing with everyone else.
