Why surveys are commissioned
Surveying is almost never bought for its own sake: a design cannot proceed, a permit needs a plan, a boundary is disputed, a building needs setting out. That means the client has a deadline and cares primarily about how fast you can be on site and what format the result arrives in. They also need to know the accuracy class, since that determines whether the survey is acceptable for the purpose. Almost no surveying site says any of it.
What we build for a surveying company
First, services organised by purpose — permit, design, boundary, setting out — rather than by method, because that is how clients arrive. Second, equipment, accuracy class and deliverable formats stated, since the output has to be usable by whoever needs it. Third, turnaround times published, the factor clients actually choose on. Fourth, booking with site location and area, so scheduling happens without a preliminary call.
