How art is actually sold
A gallery sells to collectors who visit rarely, live elsewhere, and buy after building familiarity with an artist over time. A site showing exhibition announcements and no works serves none of that. Prices are traditionally withheld, which suits established collectors and stops everybody else entirely, at a moment when new buyers are the growth the market needs.
What we build for a gallery
First, works presented properly with dimensions, medium, year and an enquiry route, since a collector abroad cannot buy what they cannot examine. Second, artist pages with biography, exhibition history and available works, because collectors follow artists rather than galleries. Third, the exhibition programme with previews and private view invitations, which is the relationship that produces sales. Fourth, a collector database with new-work notifications, so an artist new series reaches the people most likely to buy it first.
