How intercity passengers book
Intercity travel is arranged by phoning a dispatcher who knows which vehicles leave when and has a piece of paper with names on it. Passengers cannot see schedules, cannot reserve a seat with confidence, cannot pay in advance, and do not know where the vehicle departs from. Vehicles leave half empty on some departures and overbooked on others, because there is no view of demand until people arrive.
What we build for an operator
First, published route schedules with departure points and prices, which is the information every passenger phones to obtain. Second, seat booking with online payment, so a reservation is real and a vehicle can be filled in advance. Third, pickup point details with maps, since finding the departure is a recurring problem. Fourth, luggage rules and parcel delivery, because intercity operators carry packages alongside passengers and that revenue is currently unmanaged.
