What US carriers evaluate
Dispatch services for the North American market compete with many others offering the same thing to the same carriers, and the carrier is selecting remotely on trust. They want to know the fee, which load boards and lanes you work, what rates per mile you typically negotiate, how factoring and paperwork are handled, and whether compliance support is included. Operators who publish a generic service description are indistinguishable from the ones carriers have already been disappointed by.
What we build for a dispatch service
First, fee structure and what it includes stated explicitly, since this market runs on percentage agreements and carriers have been burned. Second, lanes, equipment types and typical rates achieved, the evidence that distinguishes one dispatcher from another. Third, compliance and paperwork support described — documents, factoring coordination, record keeping — which is a large part of the value. Fourth, onboarding with time to first load, plus reporting, since a carrier idle for a week will leave.
