How storage is bought
Buyers of warehouse space compare on rate per pallet or per square metre, location, handling capability and access hours. Almost none of that is published, so every enquiry becomes a negotiation from zero and the operator with the clearest rates wins the shortlist. Once a client is on board, the relationship degrades for a different reason: they cannot see their own inventory, so every stock question becomes an email to a warehouse manager who has to go and look.
What we build for a warehouse operator
First, capacity, rates and handling capability published, with a calculator by pallet count and duration. Second, client stock visibility: what is stored, where, how much, with movement history — the feature that decides renewals. Third, inbound and outbound booking, so deliveries arrive in slots instead of queueing at the gate. Fourth, integration with the client's systems, which is what turns a storage supplier into infrastructure they cannot easily replace.
