What carrot buyers specify
Wholesalers, retail chains and processors each want something different from the same field: retail wants washed, calibrated and packed; processors want dry matter and size for their line; markets want unwashed and cheap. A farm page that says it grows carrots serves none of them, so the crop goes to an intermediary who sorts the three markets and keeps the difference.
What we build for a carrot farm
First, grade pages separating retail, processing and market channels, each with calibre, washing and packaging options. Second, storage capacity and monthly availability, which is what allows a retail buyer to plan a season. Third, processing suitability data — dry matter, sugar content — for the buyers who need it. Fourth, trade ordering capturing tonnage, grade and delivery basis so the same negotiation does not repeat weekly.
