Two products, two markets
Fresh figs are fragile enough that the market is effectively local and the window is days. Dried figs store for a year, ship by container and are bought on variety, moisture, size grade and treatment by importers who never encounter the grower. A farm selling only fresh is capped by geography; a farm that dries but cannot present specifications sells to a trader who can.
What we build for a fig farm
First, separate fresh and dried lines, each with variety, grade and handling stated. Second, dried fig specifications: moisture, size grade, drying method, treatment — the qualification an import buyer performs. Third, certificates and lab results published, since dried fruit trade is document-led. Fourth, multilingual export enquiries by volume, so a container-scale buyer reaches you directly instead of through the trader who currently holds that relationship.
