Why good honey sells cheaply
Honey buyers assume adulteration, because much of what is sold is adulterated, and they have no way to tell the difference on a shelf. So genuine producers compete on price with syrup. The second missed revenue is pollination: orchards and greenhouses pay for hive placement and struggle to find beekeepers, and almost nobody advertises the service. Equipment and swarms are a third market entirely.
What we build for a beekeeper
First, variety pages by honey type and region, with harvest date and lab analysis attached — the evidence that separates you from adulterated product. Second, direct subscription sales, since honey is repeat-purchase and the margin is in selling it yourself. Third, pollination services with hive counts and pricing, a business that exists and has almost no visible supply. Fourth, bee products and equipment as their own line for other keepers.
